The Students' Association has confirmed that Victoria Etim will serve as Vice President Education for the 2026/27 academic year following a change to the recently elected Student Leadership Team.

Danielle Buia was elected Vice President Education in the Student Leadership Elections held in June. However, Danielle has since confirmed that she is unable to take up the position.

The matter was reviewed by Returning Officer Steve Clayton in line with the Students' Association Election Regulations. Under the regulations, where an elected candidate is unable to take up their role before the start of their term, the position is offered to the candidate who placed second in the election.

As the second-placed candidate for Vice President Education, Victoria Etim was subsequently invited to take up the role and has accepted.

Victoria will begin her second term as a Student Leader at Arden, bringing with her previous experience of representing and advocating for students.

The appointment completes the Student Leadership Team for 2026/27, which officially started its term on Monday 14 September, working alongside the current Student Leadership Team before taking over at the end of October. The team will work throughout the year to represent students, champion their interests, and help shape the student experience across the University.

• Daria Tomaszewska, Vice President Student Needs
