Meet the Team

What is my role?

I lead and manage the Students’ Association, supporting our Student Leadership Team and driving our ambitious 5-Year Plan. Additionally, I look after how we work with national bodies such as the Office for Students, and how the University wants to influence national policy, in the best interest of students. By providing strategic guidance and overseeing our development, my role is all about creating positive change, considering how we can influence changemakers based on what we know about students and ensuring we reflect student perspective, into how the University makes decisions.

In my spare time, I’m training for my first marathon, enjoy Olympic lifting and spending time with my French Bulldog.

I’m passionate about empowering students to shape their experience and make the most of every opportunity. In my role, I support and develop our services and team to create real impact for students. With many hats to wear, my focus is always on delivering what matters most to you.

Outside of work I love reading fantastic novels and spending time with family and friends.

What is my role?

As the Representation Coordinator, I support and engage students in shaping their academic experience at Arden. I manage volunteers to champion your voice and lead on actions by collaborating with your lecturers to make enhancements to your course. My role is all about fostering collaboration and creating positive change for the student collective at Arden.

I love reading fantasy fiction, writing poetry and prose, hiking and playing Dungeons & Dragons.

What is my role?

As the Communications and Administration Coordinator, I support the staff and Student Leaders at the Students' Association with any administrative tasks, and I also look after the Association's website and social media. I'm passionate about accessibility and want to work to create an atmosphere of collaboration and empowerment for students at Arden.

Fun Fact about me

I love playing and writing music, and have played trumpet since the age of 4!

Elections are a chance for students to decide on who your student leaders will be. These students will represent, advocate and campaign for your academic interests and needs to ensure your student journey is truly impactful.

Your Student President leads and supports your student leadership team to get the best results for students. They act as the most senior student leader, working closely with senior leadership at the University, ensuring your voice is at the heart of major decisions, projects, and growth. They also represent you to organisations outside the Univeristy, such as local government, to lobby for the student interests in the communities we live.

You elected Jay to; Childcare support for student parents; More paid opportunities - internships, work experience & exposure; and Timely support, timely grades and respect you deserve.

Your Vice President Education takes the lead on representing and advocating for your academic interests. They act as the most senior student representative on educational matters from curriculum design to learning resources. They know that education can transform the lives of our students and so they work with your other student representatives to ensure you get hte most out of your educational experience.

You elected Victoria to; Improve access to lecturers and academic support; Expand and strengthen tutorial opportunities; and champion feedback that helps you grow.

Your Vice President Student Needs takes the lead on advocating for services and initiatives that support your fundamental needs. They act as the most senior student representative on wellbeing, student community, and equity, diversity and inclusion. They know the importance a sense of belonging plays and that there are things, such as the cost of living, that will impact your progression inside the classroom.
