What I think is the biggest challenge facing students at Arden
I think the biggest challenge students at Arden face is finding a balance between their studies and everything else happening in their lives. Many of us are not full-time students in the traditional sense—we have jobs, families, and other responsibilities that take time and energy. Even though Arden offers flexibility, it can still be hard to manage deadlines, stay motivated, and not feel alone in the process. This can lead to stress, burnout, and feeling disconnected. I believe students need more support, whether it’s easier access to help, better communication, or more chances to connect with each other. If I become a student leader, I want to focus on making sure students feel supported, understood, and not left to figure things out on their own. I want to help create a better balance so that studying at Arden feels like something we can manage and enjoy, not just another pressure in our lives.
What I pledge to do if elected
My first priority will be to
My first priority will be to improve communication and support for students. Many students at Arden study online or from different locations, and sometimes it’s hard to know who to ask for help or where to find the right information. I want to make things clearer and easier—like creating simple guides, having more live Q&A sessions, and making sure students get faster replies when they reach out for help. Better communication means less confusion and less stress.
My second priority will be to
My second priority will be to create more opportunities for students to connect with each other. Studying online or at a distance can feel lonely. I want to help build a stronger sense of community by organizing virtual meetups, interest-based groups, and online events where students can share ideas, support each other, and even make new friends.
My third priority will be to
My third priority will be to support students with skills for the future. I’m passionate about technology, innovation, and preparing for the world of work. I want to work on events and workshops that focus on things like AI, digital tools, career planning, and personal development—so that every student feels more confident and ready for life after graduation.
