We weclome the recent results of the 2025 National Student Survey (NSS) that saw significant improvement to satisfaction scores.

Your Students’ Association is here to represent, advocate, and champions your academic interests and we are pleased to see that 84.6% of students asked believe that we do this well. This is an increase of 5.5 percentage points from last years score. This means that your Students’ Association ranks 4th out of 146 Universities across the UK for representation your academic interests.

This is not the only set of scores we are pleased to see as there is an increase to all Student Voice section questions that included you feeling you have the right opportunities, your feedback is valued and acted on.

We recognise that representating your academic interests is a team effort and we would like to thank all our Student Representatives that have worked in partnership with staff and students to make impactful change this year.

Our work is not over as we are continuing to work to develop the opportunities you have and the impact you can create through our Student Voice Project. We are also excited to welcome your new, expanded, Student Leadership team that will see your first ever Vice President Education and Vice President Student Needs.

What is the NSS?

The National Student Survey (NSS) is an annual survey that asks final year undergraduate students, from across the UK, about their academic experience at their institution. The survey is managed by the Office for Students and publishes the top level data publicly to help inform student choices, support universities to improve the student experience, and support public accountability.

The survey asks over 20 questions across 7 themes, including student voice, organisation and management, and quality of teaching. Each institution also has the option to ask their students additional questions.

You can find out more about the NSS through the Office for Students website.
