How would you run the Academic Misconduct process?

We want to put you in charge of the process and see if you would make the same decisions.

Arden University is currently reviewing its Academic Integrity and Misconduct policy and processes.

Your Students' Association is working with the University to capture and understand your views on what should be considered in this policy review.

To help us to do this we have created a scenario exercise where you will be in charge of reviewing allegations of academic misconduct. You will go through the process as if you are the University and will need to decide on whether the scenario is Academic Misconduct and what penalty they should receive.

So let's see if you would make the same decisions as the University if you were put in charge of the process.

We urge all students to have a go at the exercise before it closes on Monday 18th August 2025.

You will be presented with 4 scenarios that are based on real world situations that have happened at Arden. These scenarios may not all be cases of misconduct and may just be allegations. It is your job to determine whether the scenario is misconduct and if it is what the penalty should be.

This is a key priority for your Student President, Jay Agbaje, who we are working with, in addition to colleagues across the University, to lobby on anything that will support your journey.

By completing this 10 minute anonymous exercise, you will help inform the next steps of the Academic Integrity and Misconduct review process.
