Introducing your Students’ Association’s First-Ever Independent Academic Advice Service!

Your Students’ Association is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new Independent Academic Advice Service, in partnership with Alkhemy! This exciting initiative ensures that all students have access to free, independent, accessible, and confidential academic advice whenever they need it. Their experienced team will provide guidance on a range of topics under our academic policies, including; academic misconduct, extenuating circumstances, academic appeals, breaking in learning, and more.

Why Did We Set This Up?

Your Students’ Association believes that every student deserves the right support to navigate their academic journey with confidence. University policies can sometimes feel overwhelming, and we know that access to clear, impartial guidance is key to student success.

To provide this, we’ve partnered with Alkhemy, an external, independent advice service that will specialise in providing guidance to Arden students on our academic policies. Whether you’re facing an appeal, a break in learning, or extenuating circumstances, this service ensures you have expert guidance every step of the way.

“I’m excited to share a new service designed to support students in understanding and navigating their rights within the University's academic policies. This initiative ensures that every student has access to the guidance they need, whenever they need it, helping to improve their overall student experience. As your Student President, I’m committed to advocating for your success, and I encourage you to make use of this valuable support, whenever needed.”

- Student President,  Jay Agbaje

Who is Alkhemy?

Alkhemy is a social impact company that work with organisations, like us, that represent or engage with students. We have partnered with them so that they can operate separately from the University, which means their advice is completely impartial, empowering students to make informed choices. In addition to this, they are the only out-of-hours advice service available to Arden University students. This ensures those with non-traditional schedules have access to support when they need it most.

How Can This Service Help You?

Alkhemy provides guidance on a wide range of academic topics, including:

  • Academic Misconduct – Understand University policies and your rights. How best to navigate an alleged outcome and understanding your rights

  • Extenuating Circumstances – support to help you apply for extenuating circumstances or short-term extensions

  • Appeals & Complaints – How best to navigate when making an appeal or complaint against a University decision

  • Breaks in Learning – Explore options for pausing  your studies.

  • Understanding University Processes – Understand how best to navigate complex regulations and academic policies.
